Hi, I’m Mikki Warszawski
My path into therapy has been shaped by my training and my love of building community. I’m currently pursuing my PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at UNC Charlotte. During my doctoral internship, my focus is on working with couples to strengthen relationships and support the larger family systems they’re part of. Separate from school, I’m the owner of Hineini Counseling PLLC, a group practice that has been such a joy to open and expand the last few years.
I have experience working with children, teens, and adults in both hospice and private practice with a strong focus on grief and trauma. I am EMDR Certified and approach therapy in a compassionate, trauma-informed lens, always moving at a pace that feels safe and supportive foryou.
In my couple’s work, I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help partners better understand their emotions, attachment needs, and the different parts of themselves that show up in relationship. I especially enjoy working with couples who feel stuck in cycles of miscommunication, disconnection, or recurring conflict. I believe our relationships deeply shape how we experience ourselves and the world, and I strive to support couples in slowing down, gaining clarity, and reconnecting in meaningful ways.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, reading (fantasy, romance, or spirituality), staying active, and playing with my dog Koda. If you think I’d be a good fit for you please reach out at mwarszaw@charlotte.edu or 980-393-0303.
